"The Angry Sea" is, perhaps, Finnish artist Adolf Bock's most exquisite and realistic seascape painting and one of the world's most soul-stirring stormy ocean scenes rendered by any artist.  Although it depicts a storm raging in the North Atlantic, it could be representative of any large body of water roiling in a tempest.
 
A U.S. Government official's wife commissioned Adolf Bock to paint "The Angry Sea" in 1949. Thereafter, it became the showpiece of the diplomat’s residence in Germany, and the family's subsequent homes around the globe.   Previously unknown to the art world, private collectors, and to the half-dozen museums featuring Adolf Bock’s impressive oeuvre, “The Angry Sea” will be a valuable addition to any art collection.
